Varsity Volleyball Earns a Victory and Supports Cancer Research

The Varsity Volleyball team won the Dig Pink game, which raises money for breast cancer research.

The Varsity Volleyball team defeated Awty 3-1 on October 27 during the 2nd annual "Dig Pink" game, which supports breast cancer research in conjunction with the Side-Out Foundation. The Chargers played a great game with several players posting season-high stats for the match.

Bella Savarino lead the team with a phenomenal match earning 11 kills, 6 aces, 16 digs, 2 blocks. Other notable stats include Mia McAleer and Emma Wheatfall, who each had 9 kills;  Emma Bass, who had 14 digs and a 2.04 passing average (out of 3); Emma Doyle with 13 assists, and Halliday Mafrige, who went 3 for 5 hitting a +.600 for the match with no errors.

The entire team wore pink jerseys for the game in honor of breast cancer survivors. The team's fundraising efforts led to nearly $1,500 raised for the Side-Out Foundation.
