Fine Arts Faculty and Collaborator Win Awards

A theatre teacher and a guest artist at Duchesne win top honors in the 2020 Houston Theater Awards.

Middle School theatre teacher Greg Cote was named Best Trouper in the 2020 Houston Theatre Awards for his work as Ethan in the production From White Plains. Mr. Cote was also nominated as Best Actor for the role. From White Plains was also was nominated for Best Play, Best Ensemble, and Best Director. The Houston Press awards are the highest accolades given in Houston theatre and recognize outstanding work done in the local theatrical community. 

Laura Moreno, a guest artist who has collaborated with Duchesne, won Best Costumes for her work on Samuel Beckett’s Ladies Night. At Duchesne, Ms. Moreno has previously worked with the Upper School and Middle School to design costumes for the school's productions of Antigone and Comedy of Errors.
