Middle School Students Perform with TPSMEA Honor Choirs

Students from 5th-8th grade were selected to sing with the honor choir. 

Several Middle School students were selected to perform in the honor choirs at the Texas Private School Music Educators Association (TPSMEA) All-Region Event held on November 1-2. For the Children's Honor Choir, comprised of 5th and 6th graders, the following students represented Duchesne: Reagan Johnston, Edith Jones, Camella Brown, Nina Strathman, Sydney Shield, Evelynne Murphy, Isabella Varisco, and Katherine Cherington. Camella was selected out of 100 students to sing a solo during the piece “Dear Heavenly Father.”

The Middle School Honor Choir is comprised of 7th and 8th graders who must audition for a panel of judges.  The Duchesne girls that ranked in the top 25 of each vocal sections are: Donna Hren, Sophia McClung, Lily Askounis, Mia Dowler, Grace Flury, Manning Muller, Caroline Nielson, Mia Strathman, Corinne Briggs, Isabel Maus, Laura Papeians de Morchoven, Madeleine Skaufle, Aashna Sreedharan, Chloe Wilson, and Snow Woods.
