Mother Daughter Luncheon and Style Show

An annual event, the Duchesne Mother Daughter Luncheon and Style Show honors the graduating class of seniors. Held in a large hotel ballroom, the entire school community (students, mothers, fathers, other family and friends) is invited to share in this lovely event. 

The Mother Daughter Luncheon and Style Show is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria. The Style Show begins promptly at 11:15 a.m. with a professional photo opportunity at 10:30 a.m.

Each year student names are randomly drawn and they are invited to participate in the style show. One model from each PK3 through 4th grade classroom is selected to participate. Three models are selected for each grade from 5th through 11th, and the entire senior class also models. 

In addition to modeling, each senior girl walks down the runway after the style show as her written tribute to her mother is read aloud. It is a heartwarming moment culminating with a mother and daughter hug at the end of the runway. 

Invitations are mailed in March. Space is limited, and the event sold out the past 2 years, so it is best to get your reservation in as soon as possible. RSVPs are due Monday, April 15. 

We are happy to take individual reservations for less than a full table. Please specify what grade you would like to sit with and we will add other guests to your table with that consideration. 

Tables can accommodate up to 12 guests. 

Yes, you may register online with a credit card at the link which will be published in the weekly newsletter when it is live. 

All guests will be served an appetizer plate to enjoy during the style show. A regular adult meal will be offered and an optional vegetarian meal is available. Dessert is also included. 

Anything appropriate for Church is acceptable. Dressy, not dress up!

The Royal Sonesta offers valet parking as well as self-parking in an adjoining garage. 

Valet parking and self-parking are available. 

Signs will direct you from the lobby to the ballroom.

The doors open at 10:30 a.m. for photos and mingling. The Style Show begins promptly at 11:15 a.m., followed by the luncheon. 

Our photographer will offer mother-daughter and family/friend portraits beginning at 10:30 a.m. Cash, checks or credit cards will be accepted. Group shots with friends are welcome. Candid's will be taken during the luncheon and posted online for purchase after the event.
