Local Community Invited to Electronics Recycling Day
On Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart is partnering with TechnoCycle to host an electronics recycling day. The event is open to public, and the local community is encouraged to drop off unwanted, broken, or out-of-date electronic equipment — including electronics that are being replaced this holiday season. In addition to the benefits of disposing of these items in a safe, environmentally friendly manner, all donations are tax deductible.
After items are collected, Technocycle will destroy all data on hard drives, cell phones, and other data-bearing devices. They use certified Department of Defense wiping procedures which ensure that no trace of personal information is left behind. The event follows a strict no-landfill policy so every item collected will be either sold for reuse or recycled.
