Global Day of Service

sacred heart global service day with nun graphic

Saturday, September 15, 2018

Saturday, September 15, 2018, marks the 200th anniversary of the day our foundress, St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, opened the first Sacred Heart school in America, the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles, Missouri. To mark the occasion, the entire Sacred Heart community from across the globe will honor Philippine with a day of service in her name.

Globally, the day will focus on building community, discovering more about and having pride in our International Network, and providing visibility for the mission of discovering and revealing God's Love.

We invite our students, families, faculty, staff, alumnae, board members, and friends from around the world to participate in this momentous day! At Duchesne, we have organized more than 30 service projects for our community. Review the projects below and register for one. Families with daughters in more than one division can register for multiple projects, or select one.

All participants are asked to wear a Duchesne t-shirt during their service project.
