Athletics
Duchesne offers 11 sports for Middle and Upper School students. We also have a Junior Sports program for Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Our athletics program seeks to develop student-athletes who learn skills in teamwork and healthy competition. Our Upper School athletes have won State Championships and we routinely have graduates that go on to compete at the collegiate level.
Physicals
Physicals are required each year for all students in grades 6-12 who compete on a school team. Log into Magnus and print the Athletics Yearly Physical Form. Follow these directions:
- Log in to MAGNUS
- From your Magnus front desk, click "Student Health Tracker."
- Scroll down to the requirement labeled "Athletics: Yearly Physical Form."
- Click on the paper icon to download or print the Athletics: Yearly Physical Form.
- Athletic physicals expire one year from the date of the exam. A May or June appointment will keep your daughter eligible for athletics for the entire school year.

Athletic Trainer
Through a partnership with Houston Methodist Health System, Duchesne has a full-time athletic trainer on staff. The athletic trainer provides first-aid care, injury treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes who are injured while participating in Duchesne athletics. When necessary, the athletic trainer will refer to orthopedic physicians or work in collaboration with your daughter’s physician to ensure she gets the best care when participating in athletics. The athletic trainer also has a background with concussion training and is part of the Duchesne Concussion Oversight Team.
