Kate CONNOR Drone '96, Maternal, Neonatal, and Pediatric Transport Team Manager, The Women's Hospital of Texas

A dedicated obstetric nurse staffing and leading the Maternal, Neonatal, and Pediatric Transport Team at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. Over the past eighteen years, Kate has held positions ranging from bedside nurse, transport nurse, to nurse and physician educator, legal consultant, and house supervisor for nursing administration. She has also had the privilege of building departments, clinical teams, consistently meeting organizational goals as well as earning and maintaining a stellar reputation both inside and outside my organization. Kate has spoken at national conferences and have developed nationally utilized patient documentation forms.

Lena LAURENZO '06 - Maritime / Personal Injury Attorney, Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz

Lena B. Laurenzo is a native Houstonian with strong family roots in Houston. Lena graduated from Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in Houston, Texas in 2006. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she received a B.A. in Psychology. Lena also studied abroad in Seville, Andalucia, Spain to help earn her Spanish minor. After graduating cum laude in 2010, Lena worked at a personal injury law firm for two years as a file clerk and legal assistant. She then decided the best way she could help others was to go to law school and become a lawyer. At South Texas College of Law Houston, she participated extensively in the school’s highly ranked trial advocacy program and graduated in 2015. After passing the Texas bar, Lena began practicing personal injury and maritime law with VB Attorneys in Houston, Texas for over three years. There she gained a lot of litigation experience. At her first trial, she co-lead a complex wrongful death case that resulted in a jury verdict of $17,720,000.00. Lena has been named to the Super Lawyers Texas Rising Stars list three years in a row. She has recently joined Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto, & Aziz, which is the same personal injury law firm that helped inspire her to go to law school.

Meagan McCORMACK '09 - Chief Operating Officer, Visible Changes

Meagan McCormack is the COO at Visible Changes. Prior to joining Visible Changes she attended Duchesne Academy in Houston from Pre-K until 12th Grade. She attended Southern Methodist University with a Business Degree, graduating in three years. She then went on to receive a Masters of Art in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management with an emphasis in Psychology from SMU. She is a certified Mediator and Executive Coach. She works with the staff on how to set and reach goals, personal development, and how to provide exceptional customer service. Meagan is also in charge of planning the company trips, excursions and team building activities to make them fun and exciting. There is an excitement in achieving your goal to win these trips to have an amazing time and also become more educated. Besides the business end of Visible Changes she also takes time out of her busy schedule to give back to her community and is a member of the Junior League of Houston and a Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Volunteer. Meagan brings with her the knowledge of business and how to implement it as a young professional.

Allison HEEG Sandlin '06 - Engineer, Global Strategy & BD - Business Origination - Unconventionals, Equinor

 

Allison is a Principal Reservoir Engineer in Global Strategy and Business Development for Equinor. She is a core team member of global BD group focused on growing existing basins (Appalachia, Bakken, Vaca Muerta) and entering new basins through large transactions or corporate M&A. Previously positions at Equinor include; Principal Reservoir Engineer and core team member of private equity stylized team focused on entering new basins where she was the technical and valuation lead responsible for successful capture of 60k acres in Louisiana Austin for USD 80 Million,  Reservoir Engineering Team Lead for Eagle Ford Subsurface in Austin where she led a team of 4 reservoir engineers in critical time, Senior Reservoir Engineer for US Onshore Acquisitions & Divestitures in Austin and was responsible for screening, evaluation, and economics of 13 Eagle Ford, 15 Bakken, 3 Appalachian, and 2 new basin deals totaling $2.5 Bn in transaction value.

Allison held Advanced and Reservoir Engineer positions at Marathon Oil for global exploration, planning, and international production between 2012 to 2016. Leadership experience and awards include; recognized as an emerging leader; ranked a top-tier performer each year; attended top 100 leadership conference; leadership team on Marathon’s reservoir management community of practice; community affairs chair for the board of Marathon’s young professional’s group; 2011 & 2012 Extra Mile Award; 2012 reservoir management community of practice poster session winner; and 2013, 2014 & 2015 technical exhibition poster session winner.

Allison has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering with Minor in Economics from Colorado School of Mines and was the Captain of NCAA Division II women’s soccer team, ranked 7th in nation.

Mary Claire CARMOUCHE Upton, Attorney, Director of Recruiting/Operations

Mary Claire Carmouche Upton is a fourth generation native Houstonian. She graduated from Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in Houston Texas in 1985. She traveled to South Bend Indiana to attend and graduate from Saint Mary’s College at Notre Dame, then received her JD from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. After admission to the bar, Mary Claire practiced as a litigator with the Williams Bailey Law firm for almost seven years. During her tenure at Williams Bailey, Mary Claire focused on Superfund sites, tobacco and other personal injury dockets. Leaving the practice of law, Mary Claire joined a Fortune 500 staffing company in 2000 where she excelled at placing attorneys and legal staff. She has gained the confidence and respect of the legal community in Houston and surrounding areas. In 2006, Mary Claire joined Collier Legal Search. She has extensive experience in working with partners, general counsels, associates and paralegals and provides a wealth of experience and skill to the Collier Legal Search team.
