Remote Learning
  • Remote learning will no longer be available.
    • In situations where students must remain home for extended periods due to illness, class assignments will be evaluated on an individual basis.
General Procedures

  • There will be limited distancing mitigation.
  • Handwashing and hygiene practices will remain in place.

  • Parents, visitors, and spectators are welcome on campus and will be required to wear masks while indoors.
Medical Protocols
  • Daily self-screening is required for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
    • Regardless of vaccination status or natural acquired immunity, anyone experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms is to remain home and notify the health clinic at healthservices@duchesne.org.
    • Anyone experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test or a doctor’s alternative diagnosis to be cleared to return to school.
  • Regardless of vaccination status or natural acquired immunity, anyone experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms while at school will be sent home.
    • If sent home with COVID-19 like symptoms, the individual will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test or a doctor’s alternative diagnosis to be cleared to return to school.
  • Any individual who tests positive for COVID-19 will need to remain home for 10 full days from symptom onset or 10 full days from a positive test if asymptomatic.
  • With the updated close contact guidance from the CDC and because we will be masked, we anticipate little to no quarantines resulting from in school exposure.
    • We will require quarantines for unvaccinated individuals when there is a household positive. The quarantine options will be as follows:
      • Obtain a negative PCR COVID-19 test 5 days after the last exposure and return on the 8th day from the last exposure if asymptomatic
                                                OR
      • Quarantine for 10 full days from the last exposure and return on the 11th day from the last exposure if asymptomatic.
  • Notifications will be sent to the community when there is a confirmed COVID-19 positive in the school. Since class related quarantines will be minimal at this time, we will notify the grade level of reported positives in the grade in addition to a community notification being sent.
  • We will continue to report any lab confirmed positives to the Catholic Schools office and the Houston Health Department.
  • Vaccinations are strongly encouraged.
