2020-2021 School Reopening Plan

Campus Reopening

In light of the pandemic and in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within our community, Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart has planned for three possible scenarios that may apply at any time during the school year depending on the given public health conditions and needs of the student community.

As of September 11, Duchesne is operating under the Contact Minimization Scenario with the campus reopened for all students who have elected to return to in-person learning. The campus is also operating with numerous modified protocols. See below for details.

Returning to Campus: Modified Protocols

The following modified protocols have been established in order to maintain a high standard of care and to ensure the continued wellbeing of our students, faculty, and staff. Select a topic below to read more about it or view a full printable page here.

Please note that details in the plan may be modified as we receive updated guidance from officials. The community will be notified when changes occur. The last change was made on December 9, 2020.

Opt-In Remote Learning

Regardless of the campus reopening scenario, students may chose to continue with remote learning and complete all school work from home. Teachers will broadcast their classes from campus via Microsoft Teams so that students at home have a virtual presence in the classroom.
