Students Win Gold Key Awards for Writing

Scholastic Art and Writing Awards honor four freshmen and one senior

Four Duchesne freshmen, Bridget Anders, Sarah Elisa Diaz Perdomo, LaLa Mouille, and Lindsey Watson, have won a Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Gold Key for their personal essay submissions. Additionally, senior Katelynn Duron won Gold Key awards for two of her poems. Their works will now advance to national judging held in New York City where renowned creative professionals review Gold Key works from across the country. Jurors select work for national recognition based on three criteria: originality, technical skill, and emergence of a personal vision or voice. National Awards will be announced on March 12, 2019.
