Just a year out of college, Andreina PARDEY '18 holds a rare sense of purpose and devotion, qualities that elude many their entire lives.

NASA Flight Software Engineer Emily BUERGLER '16 landed in the Upper School on May 5, 2023, to speak to her Sacred Heart Sisters about her journey from 10202 Memorial Drive to space.

Jaimie MILLER ’13 knew no one when she moved to Houston from the East Coast the summer before her freshman year at Duchesne. In Connecticut, she had swum year-round with a club team and knew sports would be a great way to meet people.

“Social Justice was something I was always very passionate about,” says Lilli BEAN ’17, who has been working with City Year since she graduated from the University of San Diego in 2021.

Kate KEMPLE ’16 is assistant buyer at Carbon38, which she describes as an “activity-based company,” and one of the things that motivated her to join the team last July.

Caitlyn MCCONNELL ‘22 is a freshman at New York University Tisch School of the Arts in New York City studying Dramatic Writing—screenwriting, playwriting, and TV writing. She is directing and independently producing the full-length play she wrote. 

The Board of Trustees of Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart is pleased to announce the selection of our next Head of School. By a unanimous vote, the Board agreed to extend the offer to Ms. Hillary Feerick-Hillenbrand.

Elise HOUREN ’07 is Partner and Head of Communications at Tony Fadell’s Build Collective (Tony is the iPod inventor, iPhone co-inventor, Nest founder, and NYT best-selling author of Build).

Gabriella (“Gabby”) JACKSON ’12 is a Product/UX Designer with Watermark, an Education Tech Company that uses data and analytics to give higher education institutions the insights they need to improve, evolve, and empower student success. 

Christine MCMILLAN ‘97 is a grateful alumna of Duchesne Academy.  The Sacred Heart education provided the framework for integrating a quiet faith into every aspect of her life and for developing the confidence to pursue a demanding career as a finance attorney, representing financial institutions in commercial loans to corporate borrowers. 

Abbey JEANSONNE Kaler '06 is the passionate Nurse Practitioner Navigator for the Advanced Breast Cancer (ABC) Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Abbey has worked at MD Anderson for the past 10 years as an inpatient Registered Nurse and has served in her current role with the ABC program for the past 4 years.
