Seventh graders Katherine Butler, Ashley Dike, Daniela Echeverri, Winnie Johnson, Claudia Krogmeier, Christen Leggett, and Meg Longwell took seven of the eight finalists spots in the 2010 Barbara Jordan Essay contest. The girls have been invited to read their essays this Saturday, May 22, at the annual competition and awards ceremony, which will include the finals of the Barbara Jordan Speech Competition.
