Extended Day for Lower School starts at 3:10 and for Middle School at 4:00. Lower School parents may sign up for Extended Day in the Lower School office. The children must be signed out and picked up in the Atrium. Middle School students do not need to sign up in advance. Students may go to Extended Day on a day by day basis. The Middle School students must be signed out and picked up in the Dining Hall. The charges for extended day are put on the student's account.

SCHOOL CLOSING

How will I learn of the school's decision to close school or other school emergency?
In case of weather alerts and other emergencies, Duchesne Academy will notify all radio and television stations if the school will be closing. Individual notifications will occur through the Alert Now system. Parents and emergency contacts will receive a phone call to their home, a SMS text message and email with the time sensitive information. Generally, the school will closely monitor the decisions of the Houston and Spring Branch Independent School Districts regarding the closing of school. Only in rare instances will the school announce a late opening or early dismissal if the emergency occurs during the school day. Parents who must pick up their children early can do so by calling or emailing the school in advance.
