Evaluation and Reporting of Academic Progress
Quizzes, tests, oral recitation, discussion, projects, other activities, and homework can be used as the basis for student evaluation reports.
Evaluation of academic progress is reported six times a year. Trimester reports are picked up by parents in November and March. Parent/Advisor conferences take place in November and March. Parents must meet with their Advisor at these times. Trimester 3 reports are available online in May. In addition, mid-term progress reports are completed by the teachers and available online for parents in October, January, and April. These serve as a communication to the parents at the mid-point of the trimester and are not a part of the student's permanent record.
This school abides by the provisions of the Buckley amendment with respect to the rights of non-custodial parents. In the absence of a court order to the contrary, the school will provide the non-custodial parent with access to the academic records and to the other school related information regarding the child. If there is a court order specifying that there is to be no information given, it is the responsibility of the custodial parent to provide the school with an official copy of the court order. Report cards are sent to the parents listed on the yearly registration papers.
At any time during the year if parents wish to discuss their daughter's progress, they are encouraged to contact teachers and/or Advisors by e-mail during the school day. Teachers are to be contacted only at school, and parents must first schedule an appointment before coming for a conference with a teacher.
