Middle School Athletics

 

Duchesne Academy is a member of the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference (HJPC). It competes against ten other local private and parochial schools, which includes St Johns, Kinkaid and River Oaks Baptist to name a few. 

 

  • 8th grade teams from each sport compete for top honors in the conference at the end of the season.
  • 7th grade teams are offered in all sports to provide the athletes a way to develop and improve their various skills that are required at the 8th grade level.
  • 6th grade students will develop fundamental sport skills in PE classes, and they will have the opportunity to join after-school athletic clubs.

 

In the fall, girls can compete in field hockey, volleyball and cross country. Soccer, swimming and basketball are offered for the winter season. Track, tennis and softball are offered for the spring season.
